Abstract: Innovations in assessing creativity and innovation in technical education are essential for fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This study explores innovative assessment methods for evaluating creativity and innovation in technical education and their impact on student outcomes. The objectives are: (1) to identify effective assessment methods for creativity and innovation, (2) to evaluate the impact of these assessments on student performance, and (3) to propose improvements for assessing creativity and innovation. A survey research design is employed, justified by the need to gather comprehensive data from students, educators, and industry professionals. The sample size includes 250 participants selected through purposive sampling. The case study focuses on technical institutions in Delta State, known for their emphasis on creative and innovative thinking. Findings indicated that innovative assessment methods such as project-based evaluations, peer assessments, and reflective journals significantly enhanced students' creativity and innovation. However, challenges such as ensuring consistency and fairness in assessments were noted. Recommendations included developing standardized criteria for assessing creativity, providing training for educators on innovative assessment methods, and incorporating creativity assessments into all technical courses.
